Why we are called Crazy Horse The original Crazy Horse was an inspirational Sioux Indian War Chief. He led his braves to victory against General Custer at the Battle of Little Big Horn on 25 June 1876. As a result, he became immortalised as a man of courage, a brilliant military strategist and a natural leader of men. On the morning of the Battle, Crazy Horse declared: "It is a good day to fight! It is a good day to die! Strong hearts, brave hearts to the front! Weak hearts and cowards to the rear." By contrast, General George Armstrong Custer was complacent: "I could whip all the Indians on the continent with the 7th Cavalry." But the conviction of Crazy Horse’s words won the day. Today’s marketing battlefield doesn’t involve life or death decisions (though it may feel like it does sometimes, if you are passionate enough to succeed). Yet the same values that allowed Crazy Horse to lead his braves to victory in 1876 are just as relevant now. Crazy Horse, the warrior had aspiration, energy, the courage of his conviction, inate individualism and strength of character. Crazy Horse, the business, strives for exactly the same values. Walk through the doors of Crazy Horse and you instantly know you’re somewhere very different. The environment is inspired by our Native American namesake. ![]() Our Inspirational Namesake |
